報告簡介：The lecture will cover the basics of the writing a research proposal including identifying the suitable research question, the elicitation of hypothesis, structuring the research as well as conducting the literature review. The lecture will also include a round table session on selected topics.
報告人簡介：Dr. Li Xie is an assistant professor in Finance in International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China. Prior to joining IBSS, Dr. Xie worked as a research fellow at the Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton after he obtained his Ph.D at Durham University in the UK. His primary research interests lie in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (patent; SMEs; R&D subsidies); Corporate Governance (e.g., voluntary disclosure, impression management, board of directors, & earnings management); Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); and Quantitative Investment Management (Black-Litterman model). He has published academic papers in journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Small Business Economics, Contemporary Economic Policyand etc.
